Prenatal Yoga Abhyaasa Yoga Studio
Join Registered Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Rachel Grundner, every Thursday to increase strength, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety!
- Increase lower body strength in preparation for childbirth
- Learn deep relaxation techniques that can be used leading up to and during the stages of labor
-Yoga poses and dynamic movement techniques that specifically aid in pain management leading up to and during the stages of labor
-Learn breathing techniques
This class does typically book out, so be sure to Pre-Register, if possible, for all six sessions for $90! Otherwise, Drop-in is $18 when space is available.
Parent & Baby Yoga Six Week Series at Abhyaasa Yoga Studio
Wednesdays, June 6th - July 18th (no class July 4th)
Join Rachel Grundner for this six-week series dedicated to either beginning or re-integrating your physical yoga practice after childbirth. Bring baby along to enjoy the bonding effects of incorporating him or her into a practice to further develop the mind-body-spirit connection.
Classes will incorporate meditation techniques to calm and rest the mind, breathing techniques to strengthen the core, and an asana practice incorporating baby to increase overall body strength and bonding with the little one.
Please note that you must be at least six weeks postpartum with approval from your OB/GYN to resume physical activity to participate.
$90 for all six weeks. $18 per class drop-in.
2018 YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS
85hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training at Abhyaasa Yoga
Begins Saturday, August 11th
Meets on the second Saturday and Sunday, August through December 2018.
Prenatal Yoga offers significant benefits to Mothers-to-be. During the Prenatal yoga practice, mothers are able to not only soothe uncomfortable physical symptoms that occur throughout pregnancy, but also become fully prepared in mind, body, and spirit for the journey of pregnancy, labor, and childbirth.
During this Yoga Alliance Registered 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, teachers will explore how to guide the pregnant practitioner through a safe and sacred yoga practice. Courses will include learning:
- Creating a Supportive Atmosphere and Community for Prenatal Yoga Students
- Asana Modifications for First, Second, and Third Trimesters
- Prenatal Partner Yoga for Labor and Childbirth
- Anatomy & Physiology of the Pregnant Practitioner
- Intro to Ayurveda for Pregnancy
- Subtle Body Anatomy (Energetic Body) and Pregnancy
- Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Mantras, and Mudras for Pregnancy
- Intro to Kundalini Yoga for Pregnancy
Abhyaasa Yoga 200hr Yoga Teacher Training
Begins Saturday, February 3rd
Saturdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays through July 8th
Plus one Sunday per month
Reflecting the intention of Abhyaasa Yoga Studio, this training program will guide you to create space, on multiple levels, to awaken your full potential as both student and teacher. We will examine the ancient, yet timeless, wisdom of yoga in a non-dogmatic way, studying different styles of yoga to see what resonates with each soul. Together we will explore what it means to be a yogi or yogini, living with peace, compassion, and love both on and off the mat. In a supportive environment, we will delve deeply to find our highest expressions of Self. Upon graduation, you will have the tools and confidence to authentically radiate your unique voice and guide others in the practice of yoga from your heart.
